Q: 1.How come the extruder smokes and even the black heat insulator gets fused?
  • A: The temperature sensor drops out from heating block accidentally, thus the sensor cannot measure temperature normally. For example, the electrical bar is actually heated to 240 degrees, but the temperature detected by sensor is only 180 degrees. The default machine temperature does not reach the preset temperature and it continues to do the heating. As a result, the overheating makes extruder smoke and even get burned.

    2. The extension cable of temperature sensor is not connected firmly, failing to detect the temperatures. At the same time, the temperature is still one the rise, to make the extruder get burned.


Q: What to do if filament overflows from extruder during printing?
  • A: This is because the nozzle or copper pipe on the extruder is not tightened yet. You may preheat the extruder without printing order, to clean out the residuals on extruder and tighten them.


Q: What to do if the extrusion is too much. Is it related to the parameters set on the software?
  • A: 1. Please kindly check whether the filament diameter is correct on the software: the bigger the diameter, the slower the feeding.

    2. You may go to the dropdown menu “File”→ “Machine settings" on the software and set "E-Steps per 1mm filament" as 0. 


Q: While printing a ring, why does the infill fail to touch the inside small circle?
  • A: Please kindly check whether the filament extrusion is enough or the build plate is well leveled.


Q: Why does a round-shaped ring becomes oval after printing?
  • A: Please adjust the orthogonality of X, Y axis carefully.

    Move X axis closed to the frame, and then measure the distance from both ends of X axis to the frame to make sure the X axis is parallel to the corresponding frame. Measure the Y axis in the same way in order to keep Y axis parallel to the corresponding frame. When both X, Y axis are parallel to both sides of the frame respectively, it is OK.


Q; What to do if the extruder is blocked?
  • A: 1. If the extruder is blocked slightly, please preheat the nozzle and use the cleaning tool (a needle) to unclog the extruder.

    2. If the above method doesn’t work, please screw off the nozzle after preheating and clean out the residuals inside.


Q: The material can’t come out smoothly or move fluently, What can we do?
  • The material can’t come out smoothly or move fluently. As a result, the sample has certain faulty. What can we do?

    A: 1. Clean up the nozzle before printing to avoid blocking for the second time.

    2. Please kindly check whether the extrusion motor works properly or not. If not, you may need to update the firmware if the motor rotates inversely.

    3. Preheat the machine and do the extrusion by hand to see whether the nozzle is blocked or not.

    If the extruder is blocked slightly, please preheat the nozzle and use the cleaning tool (a needle) to unclog the extruder.

    If the above method doesn’t work, please screw off the nozzle after preheating and clean out the residuals inside.

    4. The heat insulator inside the extruder is out of shape and the material is blocked here. If so, you should change a new one.

    5. The actual temperature neither too high nor too low because the temperature sensor fails to detect it correctly. If so, you need to check whether the temperature sensor is connected well or you may even need to change a new one.

    6. The power of the feeding motor is too small and you may slow down the feeding speed or increase the electricity

    7. The distance between the gear and bearing is too big and the feeder fails to feed the material smoothly. You should adjust the suitable distance but not too tight as well.

    8. The melting temperatures for materials from different suppliers can be varied a lot. You may find the best temperature by increasing or decreasing 5 every time.

Q: Why does the motor rotates inversely?
  • A: 1. Please kindly reinsert reversely the four terminals for the motor and try the motor movement again.

       2. You may contact us for the firmware to update the machine.


Q: The first layer fails to stick to the build plate well. What can we do?
  • The build plate was well leveled, but the first layer fails to stick to the build plate well. What can we do?

    A: 1. Auto home the machine: recheck the distance between the nozzle and the build plate. The best distance is about the thickness of an A4-size paper.

       2. The extrusion is not enough: you may preheat the extruder to see whether the material can come out fluently.

       3. Adjust the temperature for the build plate: 50 is recommended.

       4. Apply some glue: enough is OK. Avoid too much glue on the build plate because it may cause blocking on the nozzle. 


Q: Why does the LCD screen show: ERR: MAXTEMP and stop printing?
  • A: 1. The extension part of the temperature sensor does not connected well, resulting in failure in detecting the correct temperature.

    2. There is a short in the temperature sensor and it should be insulated.

    3. The electrical bar has a bad contact and you need to check the its connection or even to change a new one.


Q: With the machine power on, the LCD screen shows: ERR: MINTEMP. How to solve the problem?
  • A: Check the temperature sensor and make it contact well.


Q: The motor may lose steps during printing, What are the reasons?
  • The motor may lose steps during printing, resulting in deviation of the nozzle position. What are the reasons?

    A: The possible reasons as below:

    1. You may need to tighten the synchronizing wheel’s screw on the belt.

    2. You may need to apply some oil on the axis to reduce the resistance.

    3. For loop-locked belt, you may need to add 1pcs of torsion spring. For opened belt, you may need to tighten the belt accordingly.

    4. You may need to increase the resistance on the motor’s driver plates to empower the motor.

    5. You may need to check the connection for the motor line.


Q: Why does the extruder stop heating?
  • A: You may need to check the connection for the heating tube, extension part of the thermocouple as well as the crimping suite on the thermocouple.


Q: Why does the material spill out of the nozzle even before printing?
  • After preheating the extruder, why does the material spill out of the nozzle even before printing?

    A: When the nozzle is preheated to about 185 degrees, the nozzle starts spill out material until it is empty even before pushing the material by hand. Is it OK? Since the nozzle is empty now, the material does not come out of the nozzle even after starting printing.

    Re: When the extruder reaches certain temperature, the material will come out automatically. When the print starts, the extruder will fail to pull out material immediately. In this case, you may need to go to Cura software → Dropdown menu “Expert” → Open Expert settings → Skirt → Minimal length to increase the value here to prolong the time to spill out material before printing.


Q: After inserting the SD card, LCD screen shows "No Card"? What to do next?
  • A: There may be several reasons when the LCD screen fails to recognize the SD card:

    1. The connection for the SD card plate is loose and you may just re-plug it.

    2. You may need to replace a new flat cable for the LCD panel.

    3. You may need to replace a new SD card plate.

    4. You may need to try a new SD card.

    5. Finally, consider replacing a new mainboard.


Q: What to do when the wire drawing problem is too serious?
  • A: To solve problem of wire drawing, you may try as below:

    Go to Cura → Advanced → Retraction → Set speed “40”and Distrance “3-4”.

    However, with the function of retraction, it may damage the white heating insulator easily.


Q: Why the feeder sometimes rotate and sometimes not during printing?
  • A: The temperature is not stable. Once the temperature is under the bottom line, the feeder will be forced to stop rotating.

    1.The temperature of the first layer should be set as the same as other layers, no need to change.

    2.Increase the extruder temperature to avoid it dropping down under the bottom line.

    3.You may need to modify the Marlin on the firmware to lower the bottom line for the minimum temperature.


Q: Why the temperature will skip to 230℃ suddenly once preheating to 180 ℃ ?
  • A: You may need to check the connection for the lead wire of the thermocouple as well as the crimping suite on the extension part of the thermocouple.

    Replacing a new thermocouple is recommended.

Q: Why it is difficult to take out the model after finishing printing?
  • A: It is because of too much glue applied on the glass before printing. Taking out the model by force may cause damage to the glass.

    The right way is to take out the glass after finishing printing and then soak the glass in water for about 3-5 minutes. Finally, use the shovel in tool set to remove the model carefully.


Q: Why there is something like water ripples on the printed models?
  • A: Probably, it is because the Z axis is not straight. You may try to straighten the Z axis (which it is difficult) , or change a new one. 


Q: Why does my 3D printer stop suddenly during printing?
  • A: There are mainly 8 reasons as below:

    1. Perhaps the power is suddenly off during printing. If so, you may need to restart the printing and make sure the power will be continually supplied.

    2. Build from SD card instead of computer. When you print from computer, you may encounter the following problems which will stop the printing: the computer may be down, lock-up or sleeping..

    3. The short circuit or open circuit of the temperature sensor causes wrong temperature, so the printing stops. Please check the temperature sensor and change it if it is broken.

    4. Poor contact of the SD card small plate wire, please reconnect again.

    5. SD card small plate wire is broken, please change the wire.

    6. SD card small plate is broken, you may need to replace a new one.

    7. SD card is broken, please try another SD card.

    8. Finally consider replacing a new mainboard.


Q: How to solve the problem if the stepper motor is shaking?
  • A: 1. The wrong connection of the stepper motor’s wire, please adjust the connection of the wire.

    2. Poor connection of the stepper motor, please check the wire crimping terminal and connect it.


Q: Why are the printed models not smooth and there are some spots on them?
  • A: 1. First please consider the problem of the printing filament. If it is not good or there are impurities in it, it will not be smooth.

    2. Please check if the nozzle is blocked and then clean it.


Q: Why there are messy codes on the LCD screen during printing?
  • A: Because the LCD screen is suffered from interference, it won’t affect the printing process. Restart the machine after the model is done. At the same time, please pay attention to the following problem:

    1. Never touch the LCD screen by hand or other things.

    2. You may need to check if the flat cables for the LCD panel have been contacted with other wires. If so, you may need to wrap it with tin foil paper.


Q:Why does the percentage of the printing jump to 100% suddenly during printing?
  • A: This is because of the improper operation when you are slicing the file. You have pulled out the SD card from the computer before the G-code is completely saved to it. As a result, only part of the G-code is saved, the percentage of the printing jumping to 100% suddenly.
